BOO
Don't get me wrong it's a great movie with a great story, but if you've read the book you won't appreciate the movie. Like Hollywood does, they twisted the original story...NO GOOD!! I miss Julia, the rebellious brother, the dysfunctional family, the fires...it just wasn't there.
So if you did see the movie and haven't read the book...
DO IT!!!!!

Emily and Ruth went in California and Ruth liked it better than the book. She wouldn't tell me why, but I think it is because of the brothers story not being in the movie. She won't say until I go, but I think after reading your post that is why.
i havent read the book an not planning on it but i guess mom doesnt want to see the movie now
