DH

Saturday I spend my day here...

yes, there is grass in the desert. although the poor golf course was fading to brown. my dad and I drove out to Indio, CA which is close to the refuge of Palm Springs. The temperature was (hold your breath) 120. Yes, that is in ferenheight. Don't worry I did survive, our pool was 90 degrees. To much of my surprise it was quite refreshing. You couldn't stand on the pavement for more than ten seconds or you increase your risk of a third degree burn of the soles of your feet.

My favorite part of going to Palm Springs...

ah...beautiful

Manti

I didn't really give up...

On Monday I went down to the turkey smelling town of Manti, Utah. I traveled down there with my Grandma, her two brothers, Bob and Albert Harmer, and Alberts wife, Pat. I say turkey smelling because just outside of the small town of Manti you can find many turkey farms. I found it very humorous that Pat was so sad that she didn't bring a cooler and dry ice to take a turkey home. I thought we should've just lured one out of the fence and thrown it into the trunk.
Anyway, we went down to see the Miracle Pageant that they do on the temple grounds. It was a great production.
If anyone is looking for a laughter filled night making you want to be older...these are the kids to hang out with.

deepest regrets...

I give up...

I know I only lasted two posts, but I can't do it. I can't take the pressure of being so entertaining via blogsite. I'm just a boring college student...don't count on me for your comic relief during boring days at work. Check out The Soups webpage...now that's real comedy.

In all honesty, I just don't have anything interesting to write.

Jesus loves you...it's true...
(as seen on TV...no jokes)
(on a hot summer day you can get a side order of Jesus's love)

What a deal...

I have found a new love in J Crew
here's why...

Yesterday I bought a cute A-line printed skirt...originally $84...I got it for(you'll be so proud of me mommy) $4.49!!! I also found a cute nautica striped beach coverup...originally $38...bought it for $4.49!!! As if that wasn't enought...fabulous J Crew helps support poor college students by giving us a 10% discount.
So one stop, two items, three discounts can out to a total of $9.59!!

If only Tiffanys ran under that same discount...

The Prego Rant

I'll begin with a personal favorite...

no no no...not that kind of prego
although I do enjoy the occasional meat sauce on my pasta(rare. very rare)...

That's what I'm talking about. Call me sentimental, but something about a prego woman makes me happy. It could be because I'm a woman(that'd be my second guess though), but I just love seeing that big belly.

Someone must have stolen the dreamcatcher by my bed and decided to publicize it because everywhere I look in the media there is an expected woman.

For example:

just to name and few
(side note: I cried in both of these films...yes, I know they are comedys)

and for those Family Guy fans...has anyone noticed that Bonnie, Joe's wife, has been pregnant since the show came out. That poor woman. Maybe cartoons go longer than the human 9 months. Or they are calling her prego because it's a nicer way to say she's fat...we'll never know.
...and that's why I'm single
